Was on my way home after dinner with dearie and KW at Purvis Street (thai yummylicious food) and was approached by the credit card guy (CCG) the moment I exited from the MRT gantry. CCG was standing by the exit (almost sticking to the gantry already), with a smile and up his advert of credit cards. Oh, HSBC… And so, as I made my exit, I told him that I already have the credit card.
I was expecting him to tell me about how good it would be to sign up a different credit card, but instead, he looked at me kinda weirdly, that caught my attention, and said, “你很面善.” I was like “huh?!”. But before I could say anything, he continued, “GESS 的 right?” to which I agreed with wide-opened eyes.
CCG: 难怪啦. 就觉得你很面善…
Me: Err… But 已经很多年前了…
CCG: 你应该是我的 batch 的. 83, 84 的 right?
Me: Ya…
(phone rings)
CCG: oh ok, see you around.
Me: (smiled and went ahead in picking up the call. Thank God, it felt pretty awkward staying there any longer)
Hmm… GESS days till now and still recognisable??!! GESS days have been at least 10 years ago already! It seems I haven’t really changed much, have I?
